Go Cylones! Beat the Hawks!

Our big trip to ISU vs. Kent State was an awesome experience! My Mom came and stayed with the kids and Nick and I left early Saturday morning and drove all day to get to Des Moines by about 2 pm. We stopped at our hotel and freshened up a bit while we waited on My MIL, SIL and FIL to come pick us up so we could ride with them. We stopped at the mall at our beloved Strawberry Patch (the store where we buy all our ISU gear from!) and then on to Jack Trice Stadium. We parked about 1.5 miles from the stadium and walked into the most amazing atmosphere! It was a great day to be a Cyclone fan and it made me miss it so much!

We had saved our WW points and used them on pizza and pop and it was fabulous! We ate long before kickoff so we could enjoy every second of the game. Our seats were pretty good considering we didn't get our seats and these were discounted seats (not much for discounts if you ask me!) We sat up high in the South end zone and the view was great. The downside was the jumbo-tron like 5 feet behind us! It was loud and hard to see, but it probably MADE the experience!

It was like we hadn't missed a game. My hands hurt. My voice was scratchy. haha What a great time.

Here are Nick and I before kickoff!
Here comes the team!

There's CY!
Tradition: The fans sing "Sweet Caroline"!

The fireworks afterward!

Us girls after the game!

It's a great day to be a Cyclone fan! Now, let's beat those Hawkeyes!
