We tried to cram in as much Summer as we could this last week. We did the Splash Park twice last week and Jump Zone, too. On Monday, I took the kids to the Aquatic Center and then we tried to rest up yesterday. I've been running all over the place with obligations of my own, including two nights of PTO Open Houses already this week.
On Saturday, Nick and I wanted to take one last day trip and we were all ready to head to the zoo and decided at the last minute to visit the Precious Moments Chapel/Museum instead. It's in Carthage, Missouri. We mostly chose it because it was closer, which meant less time in the car and because it's FREE to get in. We didn't really know what to expect and it was just ok, but Nick got to have Culver's for lunch and that was a big plus! The grounds there were beautiful. It didn't take long to get through the whole thing, but I got some cute shots of the kiddos!
Here are the pics from this morning:
A long overdue update of Trevor.
Trevor visited Children's again last week. He has one last Chemo treatment in 21 days and some time this week the surgeons will meet to make a decision on what to do next. The tumor in his hip has shrunk to about the size of a quarter. We were told this week that surgery will needed. In fact, it is probably the only way to save his life. He will need to go to a big city, such as Boston to get the procedure done and his mother has been asked to sign a release for amputation of his left leg up to the hip in case they need to do that once they get in surgery. They are still hoping to do radiation, but surgery must come first. Please keep our family in your prayers and little Trevor D, especially!
